May 3 (Fri) – Kyle’s Sign
Here’s somethin’ Kyle recently put together.
Sami’s mom has a photography business, she commissioned Kyle to create a sign for the business. Here’s the result..
He started by cutting several circles from stock then gluing those together in order to make a thick base. He selected fonts and etched the smaller lettering into the base. He then stained and polyurethaned the base.

For the next step he lasered each letter in the business name (”Moment in Time”), the pieces that make up the camera, and the branches. He then painted and poly’d those. The last step was to arrange all the pieces he cut out and attach those to the base. So the end result is a sign with some parts that stand proud of the back and text that’s engraved into the back. Multi-dimensional.
